Two different rewards
BlockSpin has update codes and referral codes. They do not do the same job.
Update codes are tied to patches. In October 2026 the strings still listed as official were BLOCKSPIN_GRIPS_UPDATE (cases and cash), UNDER_THE_BARREL (10x Everything Crate on the most specific list), M16_RELEASE (10x Everything Crate), and HURRICANE_RELEASE (free rewards). A June list had called M16_RELEASE expired and had called HURRICANE_RELEASE a $500 referral. October lists put both back on the working promo side. If HURRICANE_RELEASE only fits the referral box, it spends your one referral.
The referral is $500 for a new player, once per account. The official description prints W7C28D. Other six-character strings are other players' codes. The second one fails.
Which field
The codes window is opened from the four-square menu on the right. One October walkthrough says update codes and referrals have separate tabs. Another says both strings go through the same redeem box. Use the promo or first field for crate codes and the referral field for W7C28D when you can see both. Your own code, for other people to redeem, is on a later tab in that same window.
If it fails
- Alt-account validation: play about 10 to 15 minutes, then retry the same string.
- Second referral: it will not pay. The first one already did.
- Missing underscore or wrong case: official codes use capitals and underscores. Copy them whole.
- Clean reject on an update code: move it to the expired pile. BLOCKSPIN_FISHING, EVERYTHING_10, UPDATEOMEGA, EVERYTHING_CRATE, and 30K_CCU were already expired on October lists.
Large public dumps add dozens of extra six-character codes and label them all cash. They are not all stored here, because those dumps contradict each other within a day and a second referral cannot pay. The working set is on codes.
